November 29 enjoyable morninghi all, seeing that it had stopped raining, i thought that i would start to clean up my garden plants, so i picked on the RED-HOT-POKERS, i've given them a short back and sides,(as the saying goes) and a good mulching, that will keep them warm and feed over winter November 19 busy morning todayhi all ive had a busy morning today, sunday, seeing it was dryish, i went out collecting leaves for making compost, i collected 8 more bags.
when i woke up and looked out of the window and saw it was dryish - i thought its a good time to get some more fallen leaves, so i collected 9 more bags today, i'm getting happy, November 16 spare seeds & broadbeans plantedhi all, i asked on a couples of gardening website for a sale section for spare seeds, well did i get hassel, from friends on there, one said how dare you ask for a section like that when you helped us so much over the years by giving away your seeds and plants for free, so now im getting help back from them, i would like to say thanks to you all who helped me, i thought i would plant some of the broadbeans to get an early start (they say sowing early stop blackflies) anyway time will tell. November 15 sweet peas updatehi all i took alook at my sweetpeas this week to find them getting leggy, so next week or in a short while, when they have a few more leaves on i'll pinch the tops off to slow them down and to make them bush out, this will make them a better plant in springtime, November 11 new buddleia cuttingsHi all today i had some orange buddleia cutting arrived in the post from a friend called bumblebee (jean) they sould be ok, i now have a few colours mouve, darkblack, orange and white . November 08 fun morning collecting leavesHi all, i had to rake up the fallen leaves today around my garden and at my mums house, 6 bags in all, three for the compost (mixed into give it some extra matter) three bags to rot down for seed compost in a few years time, hopefully i'll beable to get loads more next week, November 05 up date in the gardenHi all, not much going on in the garden now, the beds are dug, i've added well rotted compost from one of my heaps, and the other two are still full and rotting down, i must clean out and get the greenhouse ready for planting seeds while the weather is still nice, November 04 dahliashi all, i was given some dahlia tubers today, by a person down the way from me, he was going to compost them all, so ive taken them all, as you can see im drying them out in the sun, then when dry i'll place them into dry compost, untill feb time when ill give them some bottom heat to encourage growth so i can take some cutting, hopefull i'll have loads for the allotment, home,and at mums, |
